Conservatives Are Being Subverted By Their Own “Principles”

Conservatism is currently incapable of offering an ideological counter to the Left

At this pivotal moment in our Republic with the full blown neo-Marxist Gramscian “long march” that started in our cultural institutions decades ago nearing completion (along with the parallel insurgency in our streets) conservatives are not only failing to rise to the occasion but positively recoiling from it.

The rank-and-file alternate between pitiful despondency and impotent rage while the leadership is either M.I.A. or giving aid and comfort to the Left. Why is this so?

The answer is that conservatism as currently constituted is incapable of offering a deep-seated ideological counter to that of the Left. It is a movement without a soul an empty husk with grafted skin consisting of slogans and platitudes (e.g. “free markets, free people”, “taxation is theft”, “big government sucks”).

These phrases perfectly portray the libertarian delusion: just let me make my money and to the devil with everything else! The Left has been more than willing to oblige this political misanthropy.

As all the centers of economic power are in the hands of the Left (or those who are more than willing to do their bidding at the drop of a dime) maximum pressure is now being applied across the board via economic whip to conform to the “newspeak” of the cultural revolutionists.

As this petite thuggery occurs the conservative movement is capable only of uttering a few half-hearted complaints as strictly speaking conservative “principles” have not been violated. After all owners and managers of business enterprises are simply screening labor prospects as they wish under a discriminatory regime of ideological allegiance instead of say racial composition.

This puts the current conservative movement in the position of either attempting to argue awkwardly (contrary to habit) that capitalists should not be allowed to dispose of labor as they see fit or hopelessly acquiesce as outspoken conservatives are economically muzzled into silence or terminated from their jobs pour encourager les autres.

A perfect case in point: the three-headed cerberus (Twitter, Google and Facebook) who guard the gates of the Internet have made it their raison d’être to cripple the conservative movement (to the advantage of the Left) in every way, shape or form prudently possible.

The technical means are sometimes quite insidious (e.g. shadowbanning individuals, “accidently” unfollowing subscribers from conservative outlets, refusing to recommend or carry conservative outlets, ectara) and sometimes openly brazen (mass public deplatforming).

As a result, the smarmy “free-marketers” who would readily play devil’s advocate for the odious system of labor discrimination by racial composition are left utterly disarmed as the Left makes them practically unemployable unless they bend the knee by praising the State and uttering the correct woke shibboleths (both off and online). What delicious karmic irony.

It is quite clear that conservatism no longer stands (as it once did) for the defense of the metaphysics of the Founding (i.e. “the laws of nature and of nature’s God”). Instead it has been completely deformed by corrosive libertarian dogmas into merely standing for the worship of Mammon and for the fanatic defense of the technical mechanics that allow property accumulation.

If conservatism is to be used first and foremost to defend a certain efficient economic arrangement for the production and distribution of goods (capitalism) then the conservative movement has forfeited all allegiance to man’s heart and all cultural capital. Conservatives foolishly measure their victories in dollars while leftists wisely in human souls.

As the complete cultural collapse of the conservative movement seems to be but one Leftist president away if or when that day comes, we can at least take comfort in all the tax and regulatory cuts given to faithless internationalist plutocrats along the way.
